Frat Cup Runners-Up, Shell Cove FC made the short journey King Mickey Park for the local derby against 2013 Grand Final Winners, Warilla Wanderers and came away with a terrific four goals to two, victory.

In a spirited end to end game, Jason Milosevski was the star of the show with a stylish hat-trick and it was his early goal (4’) that set the tone for an entertaining 90 minutes.
New signing, Scott Friedwald equalised before half time bit it was after the break, that the visitors made their mark.

Milosevski completed his trio with two further goals in a seven minute period midway through the second term to have his team in firm control before Andrew Kyriacou provided the home side with a glimmer of hope two minutes from time.
In the last minute, Christopher Kostovski completed the scoring to round off a fine win for Shell Cove who will take great heart from the win for the rest of the season.

Coach Barney King would not be overly disappointed with the loss as he knew his side was missing five regulars though suspension & cricket commitments and knows full well that there are still 25 games to play to turn matters around.

In another goal bonanza at JJ Kelly Park, Coniston Lions had the game won at half time against Balgownie Rangers when they were three goals to the good.
Nazir Mosavi opened the scoring as early as the 7th minute and two goals in 60 seconds from Danny Ristevski, nine minutes before the break got ‘Cono’ off to the best possible start.
James Seymour (69’) and Micheal Pitt (82’) breathed fresh hope into the contest before their hopes of a t least a point were dashed when Ristevski completed a sublime hat-trick two minutes from time with the Lions running out winners four goals to two.

UOW FC was another team off to a winning start with a good three goals to one victory away to Kemblawarra at Albert Butler Reserve.
Early goals seemed to be the order of the day with Uni’s Scott Muilwyk scoring after just nine minutes before Toby Williams doubled the lead on the half-hour mark.
Jayson Atanasoski reduced the arrears six minutes before the interval to complete the scoring in the opening term.

Muilwyk scored again seven minutes after the re-start to finish the scoring for the match before Atanasoski was sent off on the hour mark to snuff out any chance of the home side getting anything from the game.

Kiama Quarriers welcomed Picton Rangers to the Quarry but found the visitors too hot to handle as the Rangers stormed to a five goals to two victories in another high scoring game.
Last season’s Neville Arrowsmith Medal Winner, Aiden Matthews was again in inspired form as he was another player to score a hat-trick on the day and was aided and abetted by Matthew Hunt and Joshua Maiolo who found themselves on the score sheet.
Keegan Beringer and James Donlan were the scorers for the home side.

Oak Flats Falcons claimed all three points in a tight encounter with Helensburgh Thistle at Keith Bond Oval with a hard fought two goals to one victory.
Jason Murdzevski’s 34th minute goal was the only score of the first half but parity was restored two minutes into the second half when Ryan Trevor was unfortunate to score an own goal.
There was not a lot between the two sides but it was the home side that were able to come up with the winner with David Kiss scoring the all-important goal, 13 minutes from time.

In an entertaining encounter at Unanderra Oval, Wests Illawarra and Thirroul FC could not be separated as they delivered a two-two draw in a game in which either side could have won but overall, a draw was a fair result.
Daniel Bond broke the deadlock three minutes before the interval when he applied a nice finish at the near post to send the visitors to the sheds with their noses in front.

Half Time Substitute, Daniel Vasilevski, had a serious impact on the game when he scored two good goals inside the opening 20 minutes of the second stanza to give the home side the lead but another second half ‘sub’ Andrew Bradshaw, scored a nice team goal for the Thunder after receiving an incisive pass from Trent Morosin midway through the second period to ensure the points would be shared.

In the Sunday game at Memorial Park, Corrimal Ranger’s season got off to the best possible start when they defeated the Frat Cup Champions, Berkeley Sports two goals to one.
Luke Picciolini scored the opening goal of the game inside the first three minutes for the home side but that was cancelled out by Angelo Hajittofi ’s 21st minute goal with teams on level terms at half time.

The Ranger’s hopes took a huge nose dive seven minutes into the second ‘45’ when their keeper, Daniel Esteves received a red card for denying a goal scoring opportunity.
Rookie Coach, David Cuda, re-shuffled his pack well and his team responded magnificently to secure a memorable win on the back of Picciolini’s second goal on 73 minutes which was a superbly struck free-kick.

This was a stirring contest between two good sides that are sure to be there or thereabouts at season’s end.
