Match of the Week

Dapto Dandaloo Fury 3 – 0 Woonona

Dapto Dandaloo have defeated 3rd placed Woonona with a convincing 3-0 win on Sunday at Dandaloo Sports Ground. There is now six points separating the Fury and Bulli from the rest of the field as the two clubs seem to be running away with this year’s competition.

A slow start saw a goalless first half as both teams looked to grab a hold of the game. Dapto Dandaloo finally exploded to life after the break and ran away with the game.

Alvin Ceccoli kicked off the second half goal spree in the 51st minute when he sent the ball past Woonona keeper Paul Bitz with one of his trademark free-kicks from outside the Penalty Area. The Fury were forced to weather a spell of pressure before Chris Bush made it 2-0 in the 75th minute. Imposing striker Bradley Welch wrapped up the victory for Dapto Dandaloo with an 86th minute strike.

The Fury’s sixth straight win marked Woonona’s first loss since Round 1 of the season.
