Division One

Berkeley 0 – 5 Tarrawanna 

Tarrawanna continued their undefeated season with an emphatic 5-0 win over Berkeley at Berkeley Sports on Sunday.

A hattrick from Casey-Leigh Suttle was the pick of the performances as the Blueys look to ensure they don’t lost any more ground on first placed Albion Park. Goals from Elizabeth Lawson and Bridy Garnon rounded out the scoring for Tarrawanna on the day.

The result handed Berkeley their fifth straight loss as they look to fight their way out of the bottom three.

Albion Park  3 – 0 Woonona

Albion Park cruised to a 3-0 win over 5th placed Woonona on Sunday as their impressive win streak continues. Astonishingly, the White Eagles haven’t conceded a goal in their last five fixtures as they sit four points clear at the top of the table.

A brace to Brittany Ring capped the performance as she continues her goalscoring record of a goal a game for the season. Albion Park’s third goal came through substitute Faith Atkins.

Woonona suffered their third straight defeat as they struggle to find the good form they showed earlier in the season.

Wollongong Olympic 2 – 2 Wests Illawarra

Wollongong Olympic and Wests Illawarra played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at the PCYC on Sunday.

Goals for Olympic on the day came through Elise Battin and Emily Harris with Steph Stier grabbing on for Wests with the other from substitute Amy Morrell.

The draw snapped a two game losing streak for Wests as they try to distance themselves from last place.

Balgownie 0 – 5 Thirroul 

3rd placed Thirroul ran out convincing 5-0 winners over last placed Balgownie on Sunday.

Thirroul’s fourth straight win came through goals from Toni Dobbs, Chloe Hocking, Asha Hodgins, Alex Sands and Rachel Vermeer.

Balgownie’s disappointing season continued as they haven’t gained a point from a game since their win in Round one of the season.

 

Division Two

Bulli 0 – 6 Port Kembla

2nd placed Port Kembla ran out decisive 6-0 winners over Bulli at Balls Paddock on Sunday. The win signalled an incredible turnaround for Port Kembla as they had lost 1-0 to the same Bulli outfit just a week earlier.

A hat-trick off the bench from Hannah Pellegrino capped the win with the other goals coming from Madison Rodgers, Caitlin Cardwell and Talisha Varglien.

The win gave Port Kembla valuable points as they look to close the gap on first placed Shellharbour.

Shellharbour 5 – 0 Wollongong Olympic

League leaders Shellharbour trounced Wollongong Olympic 5-0 at Barrack Heights on Sunday. Shellharbour have now scored an impressive 17 goals in their last three games.

The goals on the day were from T. Smith, B. Sutton, H. Fisher and R. Sparks with the fifth coming via an unlucky own goal.

Olympic now sit 8th on the table with only one point from their last five appearances.

Shell Cove FC 0 – 5 Thirroul 

Thirroul Thunder ran out 5-0 winners over Shell Cove on Sunday. Two goals each for Tamlyn Rigden and S. Peatman sealed the win with the fifth goal coming from Saskia Beeten.

The win was Thirroul’s fourth in five games as they sit a stable 6th place on the ladder. Meanwhile, Shell Cove suffered their fourth straight loss as they struggle for points to help them move away from last place.

Fernhill 4 – 1 Tarrawanna 

3rd placed Fernhill were comfortable 4-1 winners over Tarrawanna on Saturday at Ray Robinson Field. Interestingly, the two teams met a week ago and played out the exact same score-line with Fernhill coming away 4-1 winners.

Goals from Shenae Giraldi, Kendal Williams, Hayley Quill and Jade Thompson ensured Fernhill maintained their 3rd place. Bonnie Macdonnell was Tarrawanna’s lone scorer on the day.

Unanderra 3 – 1 Woonona

In the last game of the round, 4th placed Unanderra ran out 3-1 winners over 6th placed Woonona.
