WHO WILL WIN THE GEORGE NAYLOR MEDAL

The season ending Gala Awards night for Men’s Premiership Football is on this Friday night (Oct 31) at the Villa D’Oro Function Centre.

The Big Award of the Night will be the Illawarra Mercury Premier League Player of the Year for Season 2014 with the recipient to receive the George Naylor Medal for his achievement.

Nominees for the award are Sam Munro (Dapto Dandaloo) and Robbie Shields (Wollongong United).

Munro has been dynamic in the heart of the Fury’s midfield in 2014 whilst Shields was in irrepressible form in front of goal which resulted in a haul of 27 goals during the regular season.

In the Illawarra Credit Union District League, Jason Rea (Corrimal Rangers) and Nathan Mucci (Helensburgh Thistle) will be vying for the top honour of the Neville Arrowsmith Medal for their outstanding form.
