FSC JUNIOR REFEREE COACHING SESSIONS

'Match officials are atheletes. You need to prepare yourself for a match in a similar way to players.'

(Laws of the Game 2015)

The Referee Development Council (RDC) recognises the hard work and dedication that goes into being a Match Official. As Match Officials you have the responsibilty of controlling the game of football and ensuring that rules are adhered to.  Match officials must be confident in their approach to the game and must be prepared both physically and mentally. It is important as a Match Officials to ensure that you are as prepared as you can be.

The RDC have implemented regular Education and Training sessions for all registered Junior Referees (Match Officials) to ensure that you are remaining up to date with any changes to the laws of the game, providing you with coaching points on how to manage and control the game more effectively and training that will improve your overall game experience.

These Education and Training sessions allow you to raise any questions that you may have or receive advice on situations that you may have experienced but not known how to deal with, it also allows you a chance to network and exchange ideas with other Match Officials.

The RDC believe in the continued Education, Coaching and Training of our Match Officials and look forward to assisting you in your pursuit to improving the game of football for yourself and those you are officiating. All Match Officials play a major role in football and no matter where you see your future as a Match Official, there is always room for improvement, learning and development.

The Education and Training sessions are practical in nature and do require you to wear appropriate running footwear.  Please ensure that you wear warm clothing.

There are a number of venues and dates that have been allocated for training during July and we look forward to seeing all of our registered Junior Referees (Match Officials) in attendance.  The training courses are FREE and will assist you in your continued education as a Match Official. Please register your attendance at one of the venues by Sunday 12 July.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
