Skills Acquisition Program – Trial Dates and Details
Football South Coast is proud to announce the trial dates and details for the 2016 Skills Acquisition Program (SAP). Please refer to the following details:
Background
The Skills Acquisition Program (SAP) for Under 9’s, 10’s, 11’s and 12’s aims to provide young players (both boys and girls) an opportunity to experience an enhanced football environment, above that provided in community football with training 3 nights a week and games played each week across NSW. Players selected in the program play exclusively for Football South Coast.
The coaching staff for the FSC SAP Program will consist of:
U9’s
Head Coach:Neil Mineeff (AFC/FFA Advanced Youth C Licence/ Advanced Coerver)
Assistant Coach Mick Southwell (AFC/FFA Advanced C Licence)
Assistant Coach Jason Spencer (AFC/FFA advanced Youth C licence)
U10’s
Head Coach: Glenn Fontana (AFC/FFA Advanced A License) and Phil Saunders (AFC/FFA Advanced Youth C Licence)
U11’s
Head Coach: Jonathan Forster (AFC/FFA Advanced B Licence) and Paul Robbard (FFA Skills Training Certificate enrolled 2016 AFC/FFA Advanced Youth C Licence)
U12’s
Head Coach: Peter Willis (AFC/FFA Advanced B Licence)
Assistant Coach Craig Thompson (FFA Skills Training Certificate /enrolled in 2016 AFC/FFA Advanced Youth C Licence)
Goalkeeping - Mitchell Blowes.(Currently attending AFC/FFA Advanced Youth C Licence)
Support Staff – Paul Morgan (FFA Skills Training Certificate)
Glenn Fontana will be the FSC SAP Technical Director assisted by Jonathan Forster the FSC Technical Director.
Trial Location:
Ian McLennan Park, Kembla Grange
Trial Dates and Times
Trial 1: Sunday, 22nd November (Sunday).
Times: U9: 9:00am to 10:30am (arrive at 8:30an)
U10: 10:30am to 12:00pm (arrive at 10:00am)
U11: 9:00am to 10:30am (arrive at 8:30am)
U12: 10:30am to 12:00pm (arrive at 10:00am
Trial 2 for required players: Tuesday 24th November (4:30 to 5:30pm - U9 and U11 and 5:30 to 6:30 - U10 and U12)
Final Trial for required players: Thursday 26th November.
Trial Process:
All players who wish to be considered for a position will be required to attend the first trial session. Successful players only from each individual trial date will receive an email to notify them of their required attendance at the following trial.
Age Requirements
U9’s – born on or after 1 January 2007
U10’s – born on or after 1 January 2006
U11’s – born on or after 1 January 2005
U12’s – born on or after 1 January 2004
What to bring:
- Football Boots
- Shin pads
- Water bottle
- Ball
Trial Registration
All interested players must register their Expression of Interest for the trials. Please click HERE to complete details. All Expressions of Interest must be received by 5pm Friday 20 November 2015.
Final selection acceptance:
Successful players who are offered a position within a squad will receive an email of notification and must make their final acceptance of their position by 5pm Tuesday, 2nd December 2015.
Gear Fit Out:
In order to correctly size players for their 2016 gear, a fit out day will be held on Sunday 13 December. Times and venue will be confirmed should your child be successful in gaining selection to the program.
