Regional Youth League (RYL) – Trial Dates and Details

Football South Coast is proud to announce the trial dates and details for the 2016 Regional Youth League (RYL). Please refer to the following details:


Background

The FSC Regional Youth League (boys only) which is a development program for players (Under 13, 14, 15 and 16) aligned with the National Curriculum to deliver a consistent football development opportunity for the young players aspiring to play Football NSW elite football. 

Participants in this program play with their local clubs and undertake FSC Regional League training on a weekly basis and play each fortnight against other associations across FNSW. 

In the past – participants from this program have progressed to make selection into the Wollongong Wolves, therefore is a great development opportunity for participants.

The coaching staff for the FSC RYL will consist of:

U13’s –Head Coach: Matt Hood (FFA Skills Training / enrolled in 2016 AFC/FFA Advanced Youth C Licence)


U14’s –Head Coach: Stan Pappas (AFC/FFA Advanced C License)


U15’s – Head Coach: Vlado Srbinoski -  FFA/AFC Advanced B Licence.


U16’s – Head Coach: Mick Southwell (AFC/FFA Advanced C Licence)


Jonathan Forster will be the FSC Technical Director.


Trial Location:

Ian McLennan Park, Kembla Grange

 

Trial Dates and Times

Trial 1: Sunday, 29th November (Sunday). 

Times:    U13:  9:00am to 10:30am (Arrive at 8:30am)

             U14: 10:30am to 12:00pm (Arrive at 10:00am)

             U15: 9:00am to 10:30am (Arrive at 8:30am)

             U16: 10:30am to 12:00pm (Arrive at 10:00am)

 

Trial 2 for required players: Tuesday 1st December

 

Final Trial (if required): Thursday 3rd December

 

Trial Process:

All players who wish to be considered for a position will be required to attend the first trial session.  Successful players only from each individual trial date will receive an email to notify them of their required attendance at the following trial.

 

Age Requirements

U13’s – born on or after 1 January 2003

U14’s – born on or after 1 January 2002

U15’s – born on or after 1 January 2001

U16’s – born on or after 1 January 2000

 

What to bring:

  • Football Boots
  • Shin pads
  • Water bottle
  • Ball

Trial Registration

All interested players must register their Expression of Interest for the trials.  Please click HERE to complete details.  All Expressions of Interest must be received by 5pm Friday 27 November 2015.


Final selection acceptance:

Successful players who are offered a position within a squad will receive an email of notification and must make their final acceptance of their position by 5pm Tuesday, 8th December 2015.

 

Gear Fit Out:

In order to correctly size players for their 2016 gear, a fit out day will be held on Saturday 12 December.  Times and venue will be confirmed should your child be successful in gaining selection to the program.
