ILLAWARRA TO RECEIVE ITS FIRST SYNTHETIC PITCH
Wollongong City Council this week committed a further $700k towards a synthetic pitch at Ian McLennan Park. This is in addition to the $500k already committed from the Club Grants Category 3 Funding.
A huge thank you to South Coast United FC, Wollongong City Council and the State Government for their committment and vision for this project. Planning starts next week.
It's been a few years in the making and we are all excited at the prospect of having an all weather pitch available to the local football community.
With around 55 synthetic pitches across the state, it's a big step forward for football on the South Coast.
