FOOTBALL KICKING AHEAD

Football South Coast, Wollongong Wolves, The Illawarra Stingrays and South Coast Taipans have commenced mutual discussions to bring football / futsal closer together and further strengthen the code in the region.

A working group has been formed with representatives across all four entities to review and consolidate development and operations across the organisations with the objective of streamlining and further uniting the code across all levels from grass roots to representative levels.

‘Football in the Illawarra has already undertaken a huge transformation with unification, where we had a situation of numerous associations become one entity under the Football South Coast banner.  The establishment of a working group across all four entities, is tasked with looking at how we can progress relationships with our representative teams to strengthen football in the Illawarra.” said Eddy De Gabriele, Chairman of Football South Coast.

Representatives from Football South Coast, the Stingrays, Wolves and the Taipans are part of the working group to assess the best structures for football in the Illawarra.  This includes looking at ways to improve and consolidate operations and pathways across all levels of football for officials, players, coaches and key stakeholders.
