FSC KNIGHTS

In 2014, Football South Coast in conjunction with the Disability Trust started the FSC Knights.  Teams made of players with mixed abilities and children with autism, Down syndrome and mild intellectual disabilities are able to participate in all things football.  It is a program that was the first of its kind in our region allowing the children to play within the mainstream competition.

FSC would like to thank the Disability Trust for their ongoing support and guidance in implementing the program.  Also to  Edmen and MCR who were sponsors of the program in 2016.  Also a huge thank you to the IMB Bank Community Foundation who provided funding towards the program - which is at no cost to participants as part of the competition season.

FSC would also like to thank our member junior football clubs – who have embraced this program and made it such the success it has been.    If you know of someone with a disability aged from 6 – 13 years who would like the opportunity to play football in the local FSC completion please have them call the Disability Trust Sport & Recreation team on 4255 3100.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
