FRATERNITY CLUB CUP KICKS OFF THIS WEEK

The Fraternity Club Cup Preseason Tournament kicks off this week with some mouth watering clashes featuring in Round 1.

The competition is broken up as per each division i.e. Premier League and District League Conference with clubs within the divsion looking to claim preseason bragging rights.

Games kick off this Thursday night with a Premier League Double-Header at Macedonia Park. Bampton Cup winners Wollongong Olympic will take on Woonona Sharks who will be under new leadership this year. The later game sees Kemblawarra Fury take on Wollongong United with the loser of this match facing an uphill battle to make the semi finals.

The action continues on Friday night at Crehan Park with 2016 District League semi-finalists Thirroul and Balgownie facing off in what promises to be an intriuging match. The later fixture features Port Kembla and Cringila who both have new coaches who are looking to get their respective teams off to a good start.

On Sunday 18 Feb, we see 8 other matches being played in a blockbuster of football.

At Tarrawanna Oval - Oak Flats Falcons take on newly promoted Coniston FC in the early fixture with Picton looking to continue where they left off last year taking on Bulli FC who are also under a new coach. The day is rounded out with Bellambi and Helensburgh who both perhaps underachieved last year and newly promoted Corrimal Rangers take on Tarrawanna Blueys.

At Barrack Heights Oval - Berkeley Sports face an uphill task when they take on Warilla Wanderers and University and Kiama battling it out as well. Fernhill will be looking to flex their muscles as they take on Wests Illawarra who surprised many people last year when they made the final. The day is rounded out with Albion Park White Eagles taking on South Coast United.
