FSC 2018 MEN'S PREMIERSHIP GALA AWARDS NIGHT

The Men's Premiership Gala Awards was held at the Villa D'Oro Function Centre on Friday night with close to 300 people in attendance. Wollongong Olympic's Yusuke Ueda took out the top honour - the prestigious George Naylor Medal.

Ueda edged out fellow countryman Kazuto Kushida for the award and the striker also picked up his golden boot for his record 31-goal haul in the regular season.

Bulli had a prosperous evening claiming four individual awards including Matthew Bailey winning the Coach of the Year and Yuya Kuwata winning the Golden Glove - both becoming back-to-back winners of the respective honours.

In the WGC Cranes District League, Bellambi's Tim O'Brien won the Neville Arrowsmith Medal, 17 years after winning the equivalent award with University.

Coniston's Rod Williams picked up the Coach of the Year while University shot-stopper Suguru Ieda claimed the second division's Golden Glove.

On the match officials front, Nick Ryan took out Referee of the Year after becoming the youngest referee to take charge of an Illawarra Mercury Premier League First Grade Grand Final.
