SEASON PREVIEW: THIRROUL FC

Thirroul have been one of the more consistent clubs in previous seasons. They are a club with great depth across all grades and this has been something the club is immensely proud of. It gives coach Garth Bowley lots of options.

Thirroul FC performed well against the top teasms having been up for these matches however they dropped points against teams they were expected to beat regularly throughout the year. If Thirroul are going to be a serious contender this year, they need to be a little more consistent.

The club has kept the bulk of their squad from last year however they have brought in Nathan Mucci from Helensburgh who is sure to add some more creativity to the side. Also returning to the club are two youngsters (Marcus Rusbourne and Brad Strudwick) who had stints with Bulli FC last year but will almost certainly feature in the First team this year at District League.

James Hutton did not play much at all last year through work committments and he returns to the backline to add some further stability to the team. His leadership this year could be pivotal together with the ever relaible Dan Arthur, Thirroul may just be ready to give the title a crack.

Matthew Kellond and Corey Haines Grose will also be key players for Thunder as they look to give favourites Warilla and Fernhill a run for their money. I think Thirroul will finish top three this year.
