WOMEN'S SEMI FINALS WRAP

The Women's teams kicked of their Semi Finals Series last weekend with the favourites in most games seemingly progressing through to the Grand Finals.

In Women's Division 1, Albion Park proved too strong for Tarrawanna winning 3-1. Rylee McGartland put Park in the lead midwway through the first half before Jasmin Pearce equalised for the Blueys on the half hour mark. 

With scores level at half time and the game there to be won, both sides pressed for the winner however Park scored twice in quick succession with 15 minutes remaining through Shakiah Tungai. This sealed a Grand Final birth for the League Champions.

In the elimination match, Woonona edged out a determined Kiama Quarriers side 1-0. Woonona were missing a few regulars for the match and with the game in the balance, Sinead Bailey chimed in to score what turned out to be the winner on 55 minutes. Woonona now take on Tarrawanna for a spot in the Grand Final against Albion Park. The game kicks of at 2.00pm @ Terry Reserve.

In Division 2 - League Champions Dandaloo progressed through to the Grand Final following a 3-1 win over Helensburgh whilst in the elimination match, Fourth placed University beat Wests 4-1 to set up a showdown with Helensburgh this week. Game is at 11.45am @ Terry Reserve.

In Division 3 - League Champions Oak Flats Falcons edged out neighbours Oak Flats Wildcats 2-1 in a tight contest. In the elimination match, Russell Vale Pink O30 ended Port Kembla's season with a 6-1 thumping. Russell Vale Pink now take on Oak Flats Wildcats at 9.30am @ Terry Reserve.

In Division 4 - League Champions Fernhill Vixens were undone by Coniston FC 1-0 and will need to tackle fourth place Dandaloo who beat Oak Flats Falcons 2-1. Fernhill take on Dandaloo at 10.00am @ Terry Reserve.

In the U21 Womens League, the two top teams Balgownie and Albion Park battled it out for a Grand Final spot with the Magpies edging out Park 4-2.  In the elimination Final, Thirroul were expected to beat Bulli however in a thrilling match, Bulli edged out Thirroul 3-2. They will be looking to take down Albion Park at 12.15pm @ Terry Reserve.
