Q1. How did you discover Aussie Rules
Watched on the tv when growing up.
Q2. How did you discover women actually played the game and got involved.
Met a wee girl called Marie Keating in a niteclub over Christmas and we chatted about AFL over a JD til dawn.
Q3. Describe to me your first game, how did you feel before, during and afterwards.
The team had trained a good few months beforehand so we were up for the match. Had to adjust to the ball bouncing around, the changes in pace, direction, shepparding and soon learnt you had to concentrate!!
Q4. (If you have ever kicked a goal) - How did you feel when you kicked your first goal?
Eventually got a goal in a few games into the season..... Keats passed the ball....so had to score!
Q5. What do you love about the game
Being part of an amazing new team (Shamrocks) who are willing to fight hard for you on the pitch ...and buy you a beer afterwards.
Q6. You managed to be a state representative in your first year, well done! What did you like about the national championships and will anybody beat Victoria?
It was a honour to get selected for State. Learnt plenty from some great players of the game like Tricia, Roxy and Rowdy. Awesome to make the final. NSW game pace has increased over the season and alongside a National player pathway and underage development plans, VIC will soon be reachable and beatable.
Q7. Most US Footy is played 9-12 a side, do you think the transition to full sized fields and 18 a side football will be a big shift for the US team to adjust to?
No, it wont be a big shift. US should have a high standard of fitness and will have progressed team plays through having more 'touches on the ball' in the small sided game. Both teams will learn plenty from each other on match day hopefully it will be a bit of craic too.
