Townsville Business stalwarts and long time Townsville Basketball supporters, QSolutions Group and Beehive Vinyl Products have joined forces in 2016 to become co-naming rights partners of the Townsville Heat as they commence their quest for QBL supremacy this season.

Townsville Basketball QBL program manager, Greg Vanderjagt expressed his excitement about the partnership and optimism for the long term success of the Townsville Basketball QBL program. 

“A partnership such as this with two of Townsville’s most generous and supportive businesses is a huge coup for our club. QSolutions Group has been a long term partner of the QBL program and to bring Beehive on board at this level really cements the development pathway for Townsville junior players to graduate from our rep program to senior level basketball”.

“I want to thank both Andrew Gisinger from QSolutions group and Roger and Margaret Bishop from Beehive for their generous support of grass roots basketball in our region. Without the continued support of the local business community the success we strive for within in QBL program would simply not be possible”.

Now entering his fourth season as a QBL naming rights partner, QSolutions principle Andrew Gisinger felt that supporting Townsville Basketball QBL program helped solidify the pathway for junior athletes to succeed at the senior level.

“Over the past three season I have seen huge growth in our QBL program and with the changes happening behind the scenes at Townsville Basketball, I know the future is bright for Basketball in this city. The Townsville Heat are the flagship team for TBI juniors to aspire to in order to make the jump to representing the Crocodiles in the National League, I would love nothing more than to see so many of our current crop of talented juniors represent the Heat in the QBL in coming seasons”.

As a first time naming rights partner with Townsville Basketball, Roger Bishop from Beehive Vinyl Products shared his excitement about the venture and the upcoming season. “We have been long time supporters of community sport in the region, but to be able to play such an integral role in the long term viability of a program such as the QBL is very excited for our business. We are locally owned and operated and love to see Townsville athletes succeed at higher levels of representation. To help make this happen is so rewarding for us as proud Townsville residents”. 

The team will now be known as the Beehive-QSolutions Heat for the 2016 season. The Heat will kick off their quest for QBL glory on Sunday May 1^st when the Cairns Marlins visit The Furnace in what promises to be a cracking opening night of QBL hoops.
