Ipswich Basketball would like to Congratulate Bree Farley on her signing with the newly formed SEQ WNBL Team.

"Bree came through as a standout from our recent trials. Her performances playing for Ipswich in the QBL have been outstanding and her ability to shoot the ball will make her a valuable asset for the club. Bree’s ability to shoot the ball from 3 point range will help our team this season” said SEQ Coach Shane Heal.

Congratulations also to Brad George who has been hired as an assistant coach to Shane Heal for the SEQ WNBL team starting in September. This is an exciting opportunity with a new franchise which has secured 4 WNBA players in their debut season in the league, following the success of interstate soon to be rivals Townsville Fire winning the 2014-15 WNBL championship.

The SEQ club is a welcome addition to the national league as it strengthens pathways for juniors pursuing a career playing professional basketball.
