Competition – Spring 2014
Attached are details of the proposed Spring Junior Competition.
The competition Dates are week commencing 28th July through to week commencing 24th November.
There are 14 rounds plus 1 finals week.
There are a number of subtle changes to the last competition. These are all listed on the Nom Sheet, however, a brief description is as follows.
Age groups - 17s and under (must not turn 18yrs in 2014)
15s and under (must not turn 16yrs in 2014)
13s and under (must not turn 14yrs in 2014)
11s and under (must not turn 12yrs in 2014)
Competition fee - $120 per player paid prior to round one
Team registration - There will be three registration nights to submit your team
4pm to 6pm
- Monday 21 st July
- Tuesday 22nd July
- Friday 25th July.
Managers may bring team sheets in and players come and pay their fees.

and pay on the first night before you play. (arrive early so you are not held up)
Names on sheets Players names can only be placed on the score sheet after fees are paid or by arrangement with the court supervisor. Scorers can no longer add names to score sheets.
Player Registration All players must be registered with NSW Basketball. This is mandatory for the association and covers for insurances and other benefits. It is an annual fee (just like a car) and is $55 for 11yrs and under and $65 for 12yrs to 18yrs. You will get two competitions out of one registration fee.
Competition rules There are a number of competition rules regarding playing up grades, etc, these are described on the Nomination Sheet for Coaches info.
Competition structure WWJB reserves the right to not proceed or restructure any particular grade depending upon numbers of teams nominating for that grade.
Individuals nomination WWJBA can take names of individuals who want to play and refer those names to teams who indicate they are are short of players, however, we cannot guarantee spots in teams without approval of coaches or organisers of those teams.
