Information - 2014 Smarter than Smoking BWA State Championships

Important information for this weekends BWA Smarter than Smoking State Championships;

  • ALL PLAYERS MUST WEAR MOUTHGUARDS when participating in the BWA State Championships (No exceptions without prior BWA approval).
  • PARKING will be at a premium over this weekend due to multiple events around the WABC.

-       Overflow parking is available at HBF stadium and across the road at Perry Lakes.

-       Please do not park on the median strip outside of the WABC as the Ranger regularly patrols this area and will issue parking tickets.

  • The underground parking at the WABC will be open for the entire weekend, however please note the lift will be closed to ensure all entries are through the front doors of the WABC.
  • The WABC Café will be open for the duration of the event serving food and drinks. Please note SELF CATERING of food (including esky’s) will not be permitted inside the WABC 
  • Rocktape will be set up in the foyer of the WABC on both Saturday and Sunday offering free strapping.
  • Aussies in Action sports photography will be set up in the foyer of the WABC on both Saturday and Sunday.
  • Please note SLR cameras are not permitted inside the WABC.
  • Healthway will be set up in the foyer of the WABC on Saturday with lots of giveaways and promotions to promote the Smarter than Smoking message.
  • Entry fees to this year’s BWA Smarter than Smoking Championships will be $7.00 per day for all players and spectators (Non-Playing children under 10, head coach, team manager & referees will not be charged).
  • For those playing games at Loftus Recreation Centre during the weekend the venue is located on the corner of Vincent & Loftus St, Leederville approximately 15 minutes from the WABC.
  • The BWA Shop will be open during the Championships selling merchandise including official BWA ‘Smarter than Smoking’ State Championship T-Shirts!

  • Perth Wildcats superstar Jesse Wagstaff will be attending the WABC on Sunday to make the presentations to all Grand Finalists.
