The big crowd enjoyed a fantastic evening of awards recognising the outstanding individuals of 2010, and thoroughly enjoyed having AFL and Nth Melbourne FC star Drew Petrie as Guest Speaker.
A summary of the awards presented are as follows:
C GRADE NETBALL BEST & FAIREST
Ø 1st – Rosemary Thom – Natte Bealiba FNC – 23 Votes
Ø 2nd – Leigh-Ann McCaartney – Lexton – 21 Votes
Ø 3rd - Tanya Molloy – Illabarook FNC – 16 Votes
Rosie has had a fantastic season in her debut year at Natte Bealiba, and she was one of the reasons why Natte Bealiba finished on top in C Grade and earned the week off last weekend. Rosie has been a very welcome addition to the Natte-Bealiba C grade side where she has a great ‘team attitude’ on the court. Rosie is an extremely versatile player, taking positional changes in her stride, though most of her time is spent in defence where she puts pressure over every pass and has frustrated many teams at the attacking end as they struggle to get the ball past her into the ring. She has a wonderful ability to read the play and shows great sportsmanship win, lose or draw. We congratulate Rosie on a fantastic season and for winning the 2010 C Grade Best & Fairest .
