Deniliquin’s Sam Hall will notch up his 100th Senior milestone this Saturday against Echuca United, match played at Echuca.
Sam made his senior debut with the Rams in 1996 (senior premiership year) as a 17 year-old, but was still in the thirds and did not play in the senior finals due to injury.
All Sam’s junior football has been with the Rams.
Sam has played in the Rams 2002 senior premiership and losing senior grand finals in 1999 and 2000.
Sam has played in the reserves flag (2001), 3rds flag (1995) and 4ths flag (1992).
In 2007 he joint coached the 3rds with Rob Resuggan, then on his own in 2008 — losing the ’08 grand final to Mulwala.
Sam has represented the league as a junior and won numerous awards during his football career.
Deniliquin champions John Fisicaro and Billy Bourke are two blokes he used to kick the footy with as a teenager and they really inspired him to love the club and show loyalty.
Toughest MFL opponents ~ “Ian Boyd (Numurkah) was a strong and hard opponent, while Nathan Rowbottom (Echuca Utd) and Phil Bourke (Cobram) always made you earn your kicks”.
