We are pleased to announce the opening of the $50,000 SACFL Facility Grant. This funding, sponsored by Clubs SA and the Australian Hotels Association SA Branch (AHA-SA), provides grants to community sporting Clubs for facility upgrades and improvements due for completion in 2015.
Grants totalling $250,000 have been allocated to Clubs over the past 5 years and we are now opening the sixth year fund, with the maximum grant capped at $5,000 for each project.
The partnership proposal from Clubs SA and AHA-SA, to deliver game development outcomes are detailed and available as follows:
Overview: To provide subsidy grants to community sporting Clubs that share common facilities (mainly football, netball and/or cricket) for facility upgrades and improvements.
Outcome: To improve facilities and provide increased opportunities to grow participation and involvement within the community in your Club.
Grants: Generally $1 in $4
$2,500 for $10,000 projects (up to a maximum grant of $5,000)
$5,000 for $20,000 projects and above
Eligible Projects: Improvements/upgrades to
1) Change rooms, showers, umpires rooms, time keeper/coaches boxes and media areas etc.
2) Oval lighting.
3) Irrigation water conservation programs and rainwater tanks.
4) Patron facilities (ie: scoreboard, grandstand, shelters etc.)
5) New goal posts purchased from SACFL- preferred supplier PILA Group.
Ineligible:
- Clubs with gaming machines.
- Clubs from non-affiliated leagues.
- Renovations to commercial areas ie. Social clubs, bars and canteens.
General:
- Each Club can only apply once in the three year period (2013 – 2015).
- Letter of acknowledgement signed by Club President and Secretary confirming completion of project prior to release.
- Funds will be released on completion of project and final inspection by SACFL staff.
- Sign acknowledging contribution from Clubs SA and AHA-SA to be displayed in social club for at least three years (provided by SACFL).
- All applications for 2015 must be received by 15th February 2015.
- Projects must be completed by 31st October 2015 for 2015 grants.
These grants are available in addition to any partnership funding sought from the AFL Facility Development Reserve for capital projects or grants obtained from the Office for Recreation & Sport Community Recreation and Sport Facilities Program.
