The League is happy to announce Jason Mc Evoy as the Senior Coach for Mid West, and Chad Fleming taking over the Under 17 coaching role from Luke Nettle.
Jason is a life member at Mortlock Shield, a long time player for Mid West and also having coached the senior Mid West team for two years. He holds a huge respect accross our League and beyond, hailing from a high profile football familiy
Chad Fleming takes over the Under 17 role, leading the under 17s at the May and Kinlough Cup interleague fixtures. Chad is a senior premiership coach at Elliston (2012) and has coached there for four years. Well experienced as a leader and also dealing with youth, he will be a great mentor to the senior development players.
Jared Samspon continues his role as under 15 coach as previously announced
Mid West will be taking on Great Flinders at Cummins on 14 May 2016.
A training session is planned to be held at Wudinna Sunday 8 May 2016 starting at 11.00am. This will be for A Grade, Under 17, Under 15 and Under 13 grades, with two ovals being used for training. Lunch will be provided in the Community Club following the training session, with team selection to follow.
Simon Petty has taken over the MWFL Junior Development and will coordinate junior grades.
Good Luck to all involved as we approach the interleage season, with May matches vs Great Flinders, Mortlock Shield, Port Adelaide Cup (u15), Kinlough Cup (U17), all coming up. These matches also provide players the opportunity for higher honours at U15, U17 and Senior State Championships and State level selection beyond that.
