Craig Sampson
Butch Sampson has served the Mid West Football League with distinction, being a senior trainer at Mortlock Shield since 2000, the Port Adelaide Cup since 1998 and Eyre Peninsula since 2004. He has already received a life membership for the Port Adelaide Cup Carnival.
Based at Central Eyre, Craig has been a long time supporter of football at all levels, not only in the trainers role that he undertakes with professionalism, but his commitment to the training and development of Trainers at other clubs and leagues.
Craig has spent a life time involved with football on the Eyre Peninsula, initially with Warramboo Football Club, Central Eyre FC following Warramboo's merger with arch rivals Kyancutta FC, Inter-league including May fixtures, Mortlock Shield, Kinlough Cup and Port Adelaide Cup . He travels with the Eyre Peninsula side to the State Championships, and also other zone engagments. He has been an active administrator at Warramboo and club level.
Craig's ability to mentor other trainers is outstanding, long seeing the benefits of inter league and higher level football as an opportunity to network, recruit and improve skills, he has been at the forefront of the latest developments and tricks of the trade. Other clubs owe him a debt of gratitude for developing other trainers and his readiness to support others as they take up the difficult training role.
Mid West is extremely grateful for his long term efforts at club, league and higher levels. Craig has been well supported by his wife Jenny (a regular football widow!), and three sons Jared, Asher and Matthew. Life Membership is a well earned and deserved recogition for an outstanding contributor to our game.
Craig Curtis has been recognised for his efforts both on and off the field for Great Flinders and the Tumby Bay Football Club. This award is for 15 years service as a player with Great Flinders
His first experience with association football came from travelling to Port Lincoln to watch Great Flinders play with his father, brothers and friends. As a player, Craig represented Great Flinders several times and one of his greatest memories was playing in a winning Mortlock Shield side with his two brothers, Graeme as a trainer and Michael as a player.
He has also had the distinction of being among those who have been selected for the Eyre Peninsula team.
Mr Curtis has also put in many years with Tumby Bay Football Club and played his 250th game in 2014.
Paul Jenner
Paul Jenner receives his award following 15 years of service, mainly as a player at Mortlock Shield, and also official roles
As a player Paul played more than 280 games for Cleve and 30 for Eastern Ranges, becoming club leading goal kicker 10 times. At Cleve he played in eight premierships, won two Mail Medals and was a seven time club best and fairest.
One standout year was 1994 where he Jenner captained Cleve to a premiership, kicked 136 goals and won the best and fairest and Mail Medal.
