SPORTING SCHOLARSHIP TO JOLLEY

Talented sportswoman, Danika Jolley of Mount Gambier, has been awarded a Wendt Ey Sporting Scholarship to assist her in her commitment to gain the required qualifications and experience to achieve elite standards in basketball officiating.

Wendy Ey was an Australian track and field athlete, spots administrator and academic. She also excelled in squash and hockey. Her fierce desire was to enhance the opportunities for women in sport and recreation. Her legacy has been continued through the establishment of Scholarships by Office of Sport and Recreation to encourage and assist Coaches or Officials in striving to officiate at elite level.

Jolley is at present a member of the SA Country Basketball Referees’ contingent officiating at the 2015 Australian Country Basketball Junior Cup being played in Albury NSW during this week. She has umpired Under 16 and 18 games at the Cup.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
