MCDONALD’S Port Lincoln franchisee Tony Baj has struck a deal to sponsor the Far West Football League during the Mortlock Shield Carnival.
“We receive great support from visitors from the Far West Coast during the carnival and throughout the year,” Mr Baj said.
"This is a way to show my support for those people who support me.”
Far West Football League president Ron Redford was delighted to secure the sponsorship.
"Dealing with a go ahead businessman like Tony who understands the significance of the Mortlock Shield to the business and football community of Port Lincoln was great,” Mr Redford said.
“Our visiting group of players and supporters will certainly respond to his generous offer." The competition for the Mortlock Shield will take place over the upcoming Queen’s birthday long weekend where players from both Far West and Mid West leagues will travel to Port Lincoln to compete against other regions for the shield.
