The first ever Birthright-Baseball trip was inaugurated last night when 40 young people arrived from the USA and Canada. They were greeted by David Klein, who is accompanying the group on behalf of the IAB, and David Leichman who is the IAB liaison officer.
David Leichman gave a fantastic opening talk to the group in Kibbutz Gezer and energized them all. They then headed up north, to Kibbutz Hukuk where they spent the night. Today they will be touring the Banyas and Golan Heights.
On Thursday they will be in Ofakim, running baseball clinics for the kids of Ofakim and introducing them to the game of baseball. In the afternoon they will return to Gezer and join the Senior National team in a friendly game of 16” softball so that everyone can be involved.
It should be a great social occasion and any and all kids of the IAB are invited to join, on the baseball diamond of Kibbutz Gezer from 15:00 – 17:00 on Thursday. Come all and join us in showing the Birthright people a good time
