The umpire course will start on Sunday, January 21st and culminate on February 21st.
The course is a serious attempt to impart rules, personal mechanics and field mechanics on the basic level to new and untrained umpires.
The course will be 5 sessions, once a week (assuming no rain days) and will be held at ISP sports complex in the Baptist village in Petah Tikva. It contains indoor and outdoor activities. The final session will be umpiring

Each week there will be reading assignments and homework and the last session on the 20th of February will be in a game situation. The assignments and other hand-out reading material will be sent by email so once you register, it will be important that I have your correct email address and that you are attentive to my emails before and during the course.
The course ends with a final written exam.
Students should be 15 years old at least (to be 16 during 2012). (For age exceptions: turn to your Regional Director or Area coordinator.)
A basic knowledge of the game of baseball is required and although I am fluent in both Hebrew and English, students should be able to read English text.
