20 YEARS OF CALLING THE SHOTS
The Victorian Basketball Referees Association Altona Branch (VBRA Altona) formerly the Altona Bay Basketball Referees Association (ABBRA) will celebrate its 20th Anniversary on Friday 19th October 2012.
Just as it was done at the 10th Anniversary VBRA Altona will name the top 20 Referees of the last decade, as well as service awards to members who have given considerable time to the branch.
Over the last 20 years VBRA Altona has produced referees who have and continue to not only officiate local Basketball games at the Altona Sports Centre, but who officiate in the prestigious Victorian Junior Basketball League, BigV and South East Australian Basketball Leagues, in addition to Australian Junior Championships and International games.
VBRA Altona currently has 73 Referees and over 250 Referees have blown a whistle since the start of the Altona Bay Basketball Association.
