Engineered floor for new stadium
COLAC basketballers and netballers will play on the same surface the Australian Institute of Sport uses when the Bluewater Fitness Centre redevelopment is complete.
Colac Otway Shire Council officials have chosen an engineered hardwood flooring system for the expanded stadium.
The chosen product, known as Helsinki, has a “no sand” system, and requires minimal maintenance for at least the first 10 years of its lifespan.
The council’s recreation, arts and culture manager Ian Seuren said Colac and district sportspeople could expect a premium playing surface.
