The Queensland Arena Indoor Moto-Trials Championships will be a fantastic addition to Queensland Trials Week (21-29 August, 2010).
This event will be held over 2 days (28/29 August) at the Carrara Sports Complex which is 20 minutes drive from the Gold Coast, and carries Queensland Championship status.
Saturday’s event format will see some of Australia and New Zealand’s best riders vying for the Open Solo and Youth Titles. There will be two elimination rounds before the final and the event will be based on the FIM indoor scoring system.
“What a great way to finish what we are sure will be a great week for Moto-Trials in Queensland” commented MQ Moto-Trials Subcommittee Chairman Robert Eyres.
“The Indoor Arena concept is a great way for spectators who are not familiar with Moto-Trials to come along and get a great appreciation for this exciting form of motorcycling” Eyres continued.
The Queensland Moto-Trials subcommittee is currently in negotiations with Australia’s very own Jack Field, who is widely considered as one of the best in the business, to conduct a Freestyle Trials show during the break before the final.
Jack will certainly have his work cut out for him, as he will be aiming to make the Open Solo final as a competitor. There will also be a number of other demonstration activities as part of Saturday’s program.
Attention then turns to Sunday, when the “best of the rest” in the B, C, Clubman, Junior, and Twin Shock / Classic categories hit the sections. There will be a total of 75 positions available in Sunday’s field.
Ten sections are available for riders to try out their riding skills over two days of competition, with changes being made to the section severity from Saturday to Sunday’s competition.
For those riders competing at all three events during Queensland Trials Week, tickets for Saturday’s Queensland Arena Indoor Moto-Trials Championships can be pre-purchased with entry into any of the other events.
For the general public, tickets for Saturday's Queensland Arena Indoor Moto-Trials Championships can be purchased at the event on the day.
A small entry fee will also apply for entry to Sunday’s Queensland Arena Indoor Moto-Trials Championships program.
The Supplementary Regulations for this event are in their final stages and will soon be
released on at www.mqld.org.au.
Individuals or companies interested in being part of this event or the whole Queensland Trials Week as a sponsor or supporter can further discuss these options with either Robert Eyers at admin@redds.com.au or Lyndon Blake at lyndon@proartracing.com.au.
