Expected Player Conduct

As of late, the PMBL has been experiencing some minor issues involving player misconduct. As members of Basketball Western Australia, all players within the PMBL are bound by BWA's player's Code of Conduct.

Included in the player's Code of Conduct are points such as:

  • Understand and play by the rules
  • Respect referees and other officials
  • Control your temper
  • Be a good sport
  • Be prepared to lose sometimes

See below for a full copy of the CoC (players section pages 8-10).

Please be aware that any player can be reported by the match referee or any other competition official for breaking the Code of Conduct. Whilst some issues may seem minor at the time, the consequences of breaking any point of the Code can include suspension.

The PMBL does not tolerate misconduct or unruly behaviour, so please abide by these rules and that way everyone involved in the competition can enjoy themselves.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
