SA Girls Soar at NTC Challenge

The 2014 National Training Centre (NTC) Challenge was held from 25-29 August at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.

Head of Women’s Football Ross Aloisi lead the South Australian NTC side to outstanding results as the team managed to complete the tournament with out conceding a game or goal. The SA NTC Girls finished top of the Points Table and the Bonus Points Table – a feat that had not been achieved previously during the Girls NTC Challenge.

In the Final following the tournament, the SA NTC Girl’s defeated NNSW 2-1 with Lady Reds Emily Condon and Lauren Steer scoring for the win.

Nora Peat, Chelsea Dawber, Gracey Abbey, Alex Chidiac, Georgia Bailey and Dylan Holmes were all identified for National representation at the tournament, with recently signed Lady Red Holmes being named the Player of the Tournament.

Football Federation SA congratulates all involved in the 2014 Girls NTC Challenge and commends the SA NTC Girls & coaching staff on their achievements.
