SA Goalkeepers train at the Australian Institute of Sport

Three Goalkeepers from the FFSA’s Goalkeeping program have been chosen to attend a National Goalkeeping camp at the AIS in late July.

Tony Franken the National Goalkeeping Coach confirmed their selection after attending two SASI Goalkeeping sessions in May. Tony Franken was in Adelaide with the Socceroos in preparation for the Australia v New Zealand game at Adelaide oval.

The three boys Sam McKechnie (96 born, Salisbury United and SASI), Jackson o’ Donnell (97 born, White City) and Daniel Margush (97 born, Raiders) will train with other selected Goalkeepers from around the country under the Guidance of AIS Goalkeeping coach Ron Corrie. If the Goalkeepers do well they may earn opportunities with upcoming National squads.

During the SASI Goalkeeping sessions Tony Franken also checked on the progress of Nick Munro (93 born, Adelaide Galaxy & Adelaide United) and John Solari (94 born, Adelaide City & SASI) who have both previously been involved in National camps.
