Salisbury United Football Club

It is with sadness that Salisbury United Football Club announces the passing of our co-founder Bob Bush.

Bob, a former serviceman in the RAAF, was instrumental in establishing Salisbury United in 1954, played in its first ever game against British Wanderers and served the club for over 35 years.

In 1978 Bob was again in the forefront of football development being instrumental in establishing the South Australian Women’s Soccer Association becoming their inaugural President and executive officer.

In 2003 Bob was elected into the Hall of Fame as a Roll of Honour Member for meritorious contribution. A true gentleman of our sport who will be sadly missed.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
