Football in SA Receives Further Boost

Football in South Australia received a further boost with the announcement of West Adelaide and Port Adelaide Lions soccer clubs receiving a share of $1 million in State Government Funding this week. 

 

Football Federation SA Chief Executive Officer Michael Carter told that this funding is vital to assist with the growing participation numbers of the sport.

 

“The Football Facilities Strategic Plan highlights both the Kilburn Primary School and Taparoo Primary School as key greenfield sites development as priorities for football in the state.

 

“The $1 million funding announcement by Minister Bignell this week will see the commencement of these developments possible. 

 

“Football Federation SA congratulates both the West Adelaide and Port Adelaide Lions soccer clubs and look forward to working closely with them in the further developments of these sites.”
