Campbelltown City Club Announcement re: Michael Matricciani

Dear Parents, Players, and Members of Campbelltown City Soccer Club

Well it doesn’t get any better for Michael Matricciani.

As we advised last week, Michael is about to be married and has recently been appointed as the Hig
Performance Coach to the Australian College of Sports Football.

If that wasn’t enough, he has this week been appointed by the FFSA as the Coach of the Women’s NTC Team to add to his credentials.

What a magnificent achievement and well deserved reward for a most passionate and dedicated Footballprodigy.

Campbelltown City Soccer Club once again congratulates Michael on this incredible achievement.
Unfortunately however, with every upside there is a down side.

For Campbelltown City Soccer Club this means that Michael will have to relinquish his role as the Technical Football Director of the Club.

Unfortunately the combination of these two new roles will not allow him to continue at the Club in that role.

There just simply isn’t enough time in the day!

Michael has done an incredible job over the last 4-5 years with the Club’s Junior programs, to develop youngplayers, coaches, the curriculum, academies and talent squads, as well as organising the trips overseas toItaly and Spain. We must not also forget the incredible contribution Michael has made to the Club as aplayer for the Senior Team. The Club has been amazingly fortunate to have had Michael as a player, coachand Technical Director – he will be sorely missed by all at the Club.

It is largely due to Michael’s fantastic contribution that Campbelltown City Soccer Club is largely
acknowledged as having the best Junior Program in South Australia.

Michael has left an amazing legacy at the Club.

The Club now will embark on a due diligence process to find a replacement for Michael.

Hopefully his successor will share and build on Michael’s philosophies, dedication and enthusiasm for
football and the Campbelltown City Soccer Club.

Again, we at Campbelltown City Soccer Club congratulate Michael on his appointments and we wish him the very best in life, marriage and his football career.

From the Board and Committee
Campbelltown City Soccer Club.
