Pele Sports Australia Coaches MVP Award - Round 7

Pele Sports Australia Coaches MVP Award - Round 7

Raiders midfielder Nicky Orr shot to outright top of the Pele Sports Australia Coaches MVP Award after polling four votes in Round 7 for his stunning double against Western Strikers in his side’s 2-1 win.

Orr had shared top spot with Adelaide Blue Eagles striker Kym Harris, but Harris failed to collect a vote last week meaning Orr is now the clear leader.

Harris’ team-mate Fortunato Filletti polled three votes last week to keep pressure on the leaders and maintain his record of being the only player to have collected votes in every match this season.

The award sees the 10 Devine Super League coaches vote at the completion of their match for the best player on the day using a 3, 2, 1 system.

At the end of the home-and-away season, the player who has finished top of the leaderboard will win a $1000 cash prize kindly donated by Pele Sports Australia, along with a $500 voucher from the online Pelé-inspired brand.

The winner of The Messenger Coaches MVP Award will be presented with their prize at the Devine Super League Grand Final.
