Mitchell Govan has won two admission tickets to the Hyundai A-League’s Foxtel Allstars-Manchester United clash thanks to Football Federation SA Junior Leagues sponsor Mamee.
As part of the Coca-Cola Federation Cup travelling to Mount Gambier, Mamee kindly provided two admission tickets to the exhibition match at ANZ Stadium in Sydney on Saturday June 20, with the winner drawn by Mayor Richard Sage.
Govan entered the competition with a coupon from The Border Watch and the draw was conducted during half time of the second match of the double header between Inter and Adelaide Olympic, with Apollo and Para Hills facing off in the first match.
The young footballer also took part in the pre-match Small Sided Football exhibition with his club Blue Lakes, with almost 30 kids from three clubs taking part in two 7v7 matches.
FFSA also held School Holiday Clinics at Casadio Park on Friday led by former Adelaide United striker Cristiano and other members of FFSA’s Game Development staff.
Over 50 children took part in the clinic which proved to be a huge success and FFSA Game Development Manager John Mundy applauded the efforts of everyone involved.
“It was great to see the interest from the kids,” he said.
“It is a credit to all the Clubs and Coaches that have embraced the benefits of the Small Sided Football concept, which was so admirably demonstrated as a curtain raiser before the Federation Cup tie.”
