FFSA Skills Acquisition Program Club Visit - Adelaide Hills Hawks

On Tuesday June 11, FFSA Skill Acquisition Trainer Richie Alagich and FFSA Technical Director Airton Andrioli conducted two coaching sessions for the Adelaide Hills football community at Anembo Park, Littlehampton.

The sessions were well attended with 22 coaches involved across the evening.

Alagich and Andrioli demonstrated the development of skills acquisition and game play structures, while also providing the attentive coaches with hints and tips on better coaching techniques.

The young players involved with the session were from the Adelaide Hills Hawks U11, U12 and U14 squads.

"One of the great things about the approach the coaches had was the way they communicated with the players. They were always asking questions and seeking solutions from the players involved in the exercise." said Junior Coordinator Paul Hyder.

"It was great to see so many coaches from across the Adelaide Hills turn up on a very damp evening, especially as the Socceroos were playing Jordan. This shows the commitment the FFSA and the local volunteers have towards junior development.”

"We all got a great deal of knowledge from the session, especially about communication and the importance of being as organised as you can be when approaching a training session with young people."

"We will all take away some good knowledge from this and hopefully get to apply it to our weekly sessions with the players and other coaches that we come in contact with."

The Adelaide Hills Hawks would like to acknowledge the generosity of Mount Barker Soccer Club for the use of its facilities and also thank the Adelaide Hills Junior Soccer Association for helping to spread the message and thank all those coaches that attended for their support.
