Westfield Matildas Head Coach Hesterine de Reus and Westfield Matilda's Assistant Coach Ante Juric will be in Adelaide on Tuesday 20 August.

De Reus and Juric are meeting with Football Federation SA Technical Staff to discuss SA’s Elite programs and better understand the local club environment.

Incorporated into their visit will be a trip to Burton Park to meet some of SA’s top female footballers during a training session with the NTC squad. 

Head Coach, Geoff Hargreaves believes the visit has come at the perfect time.

“This is a great opportunity to showcase the efforts put in by everyone involved in women’s football. Our recent performances at the National Championships have highlighted these efforts and captured the attention of the Matilda’s Coaching Staff.” 

During the visit the Matildas coaches will be observing the Round 18 Adelaide Airport Premier League match between FFSA U14/15 Girls and Adelaide City allowing local players to shine in a competitive environment under the watchful eye of the National Team selectors.

Adelaide City coach Edoardo Rosso noted that his squad are looking forward to the night match which is a great opportunity for each player.

“The players have been focusing on their preparations against an inform FFSA side who have recently beaten Adelaide University and Metro United and know it will not be an easy game.

“Adelaide City is happy the Matilda’s coach is coming to SA and in particular our NTC players will be relishing this opportunity”

The Adelaide Airport Premier League match will kick off at 7:30pm at Burton Park, 400 Waterloo Cnr Rd, Burton and is open to the public.
