Football Federation SA Hall of Fame 2013

Football Federation SA is pleased to announce the two inductees into the 2013 FFSA Hall of Fame are Arthur Di Fede and Bryan Hearn.

Di Fede and Hearn have both been inducted in to the Hall of Honour as members for Outstanding Contribution.

FFSA Hall of Fame Chairman Orazio Di Carlo applauded the contribution made by both inductees.

“This year’s inductees have all made significant contributions at various levels of the sport over a great amount of time and it is due that we induct them in to the Hall of Fame.” he said.

Di Fede, who has been associated with the game of football in South Australia in excess of 50 years was born in Benevento Italy and migrated to Australia in 1958. He has contributed to the game of football as a Player and Administrator, Life Member of the FFSA and Campbelltown City SC.

Di Fede’s experience extends from being the Chairman of Campbelltown City FC, the Chairman of Futsal SA and Vice Chairman SASF. Between 1980 & 2013 he was Chairman of Various committees including, All Appeals, League Executive, Referees, Junior Premier League, Referees Commission and 2nd Division Management. A member of the SASF Board in 1990 and from 1997 he became a SASF Commissioner until 2004.

Hearn has been involved in the game of football in South Australia in excess of 32 years. Born in Chesham Buckinghamshire UK and migrated to Australia in 1971 he has contributed to the game of football as a Player, Coach, Trainer and Administrator, Life Member at Parafield Gardens SC and Elizabeth Districts Junior Soccer Association and received the Meritorious Service Award with the SASF. 

Hearn has held the title of Chairman at the EDJSA, Chairman SASF Junior Premier League and also a Member of the SASF Board of Commissioners and a Member SAASL Disciplinary Committee. He was SAASL State Team Trainer for the National Championships 1979 & 1980 and over the years has been a committee member at Parafield Gardens, Salisbury United and Para Hills. 

Hearn was also a member of the LOC for the FIFA World Youth Championships in 1993/94.

Both will be officially presented and inducted in to the FFSA Hall of Fame at the 2013 Celebration of Football, to be held at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Friday 27 September.
