SA Girls Selected for Asian Football Confederation U16 Women's Championships
Two South Australian players have been selected for the Westfield Australian under 17 Women’s national team to participate in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-16 Women’s Championships later this month.
Both Alexandra Chidiac and Jessica Waterhouse will compete at the AFC U-16 Women’s Championships that will be held in Nanjing, China, between 26 September and 6 October 2013.
Australia has been drawn in group A with host country China and Bahrain. The winner from each group will progress to the semi-finals, and the winners of the semi-finals will progress to the final to be held on 6 October 2013.
The AFC U-16 Women’s Championships 2013 is the official FIFA qualifying tournament for the 2014 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
