Football Veteran Fraser McLean Signs with Seaford Rangers FC
Goalkeeper Fraser McLean will continue his Football Federation SA State League career in 2014 after signing with Seaford Rangers FC.
McLean made his Senior team debut in 1988 as a 16 year old at West Torrens Birkalla and went on to play 53 game for the club from 1988 to 1992.
Following his time at West Torrens Birkalla, McLean played 73 games for Adelaide Blue Eagles from 1993 to 1997.
In 1998 McLean signed for Noarlunga United and had remained there for the past 15 years, playing a total of 326 games.
At the end of the 2013 season the veteran had totalled an astounding 452 Premier and State League games in South Australia.
The upcoming season marks a new beginning for the goalkeeper. Having recently turned 43, McLean has opted for a fresh start and new challenge with the young guns at Seaford Rangers FC.
Amongst a number of personal goals, including hoping to play a major leadership role in the team and being able to assist his new club to achieving success in its 40th anniversary year, McLean would also like to reach the 500 game mark; a milestone that would require playing on in 2015.
Seaford Rangers FC told that they are extremely honoured to have the legend of the game sign with them for the upcoming season.
The club looks forward to him bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience to assist in the development of young players.
