Lady Reds to Open Adelaide Shores Football Centre
The Lady Reds officially trained at Football Federation SA’s Adelaide Shores Football Centre this morning as they prepare for the away journey in Canberra tomorrow against Canberra United in what will be a crucial clash leading into the Finals.
Lady reds Head Coach Ross Aloisi said the venue is world class.
“The surface is world class as are the player facilities. The venue has a great feel and the girls can not wait to officially open the venue next Friday night against Sydney FC. But first we have to worry about this weekend.”
Located on West Beach Road at West Beach, the venue is to be officially opened on Friday 24 January 2014.
Construction of the venue commenced in August and will be a base for the W-League side, as well as a number of local clubs.
The opening will see South Australia’s 2013 National Premier League Champions Campbelltown City meet with Football West’s Semi Professional Competition Champions, Bayswater City SC in the Interstate Club Challenge.
The Lady Reds will then take on in-form side Sydney FC in Round 10 of the Westfield W-League.
Spectators attending the opening are encouraged to come dressed in ‘Australia Day Theme’ for a chance to take part in the half time entertainment of the W-League match with NOVA 919 presenter Jarrod Walsh, Nova Boy and the Mamee Monster.
The Adelaide Shores Football Centre gates open Friday 24 January 2014 at 5:00pm.
