Aloisi Goes Regional
Football Federation SA (FFSA) Head of Women’s Football Ross Aloisi attended a coaching clinic in Mount Gambier this week in the lead up to the National Premier League’s Regional Round fixture.
The session received an overwhelming response with over 80 female players attending to train under the Lady Reds Westfield W-League Head Coach.
Players ranging from 7 to 30 years old came from as far as the Victorian border to attend the session as well as coaches from the Western Border Soccer Association and South East Women’s Football Association.
Aloisi noted that the clinic was a huge success and night’s such as these visiting regional areas are important.
“The region has produced two current Lady Reds, Jenna McCormick and Monique Iannella and I am hopeful that other talented players could be included in Elite Player programs in the future.
“There were a lot of talented players at the session and I look forward to being able to go back to the region with other coaching staff to look at some players further.”
The Regional Round will find Premier League sides Cumberland United and Para Hills Knights play their Round 13 match in front of the Mount Gambier community this Saturday.
