FFA CEO David Gallop to Visit Adelaide

Football Federation Australia (FFA) CEO David Gallop will be in Adelaide Thursday 13 November to engage with key stakeholders as part of the Whole of Football Plan consultation process.

The Whole of Football Plan, which was announced by Gallop in September during his ‘State of the Game’ address, aims to improve all levels of the sport, from the grassroots to the elite levels, to eventually make football the biggest and most popular game in Australia.

The consultation process will seek to gain insights from all stakeholders regarding all facets of football, including;

  • Elite player and coach development
  • National teams
  • Community football
  • Facilities development
  • National competitions
  • Fan connections
  • Commercial revenues

Gallop is looking forward to attending the South Australian forum and urges all stakeholders to attend and be a part of the consultation process.

“Since announcing the Whole of Football Plan in September we have been meeting with stakeholders around the country to gauge their views on how to improve football in Australia,”

“I am looking forward to hearing about the issues that South Australians are facing and also their ideas on how to further develop the sport.

“If you want to have a say in the future of football, then attend the forum and voice your opinions,” concluded Gallop.

FFSA CEO Michael Carter also believes that this is an ideal opportunity for South Australians to contribute to the future of football in Australia.

“It is not often that an opportunity arises like this where grassroots stakeholders can discuss their issues directly with David Gallop in a public forum,” said Carter.

“I encourage all stakeholders in South Australia to attend this unique event and take part in the discussion.

“I firmly believe that through this public consultation process, the future of football in Australia will be assured,” concluded Carter.

The meeting will be held on Thursday 13 November at the Office for Recreation & Sport:

27 Valetta Road, Kidman Park, 6.30pm.
