Lady Reds v Western Sydney Wanderers Wrap

The Lady Reds and Western Sydney Wanderers shared the points as they played out an exciting 2-2 draw at Adelaide Shores Football Centre.

The match had an explosive start with the Lady Reds taking the lead in just the third minute. An excellently weighted corner from the right hand side resulted in a tricky rebound being smashed back into the net by young star Emily Condon.

Both sides looked dangerous down their respective flanks with Condon and the Wanderer's Helen Petinos providing plenty of threats.

The Wanderers equalised in the 26th minute after a penalty was given. Keelin Winters stepped up to the spot and didn't waste her chance.

The second half saw another penalty given to the Wanderers in the 63rd minute and Winters was given the duties and again did not make a mistake, putting the Wanders 2-1 up.

The Lady Reds didn't give in and got the game back on equal terms in the 72nd minute. After some individual brilliance from captain Kristy Moore, her well timed cross found its way pat the Wanderers defence as Alexandra Chidiac netted her first career goal for the Lady Reds.

Both teams looked for the winner but to no avail as it finished 2-2. The Lady Reds next play Newcastle Jets on the Saturday 29 November.
