600 Girls Participate in FFSA Clinics - Mt Gambier

Football Federation SA (FFSA) Female Participation Officer Tiarn Powell and FFSA Regional Girls Development Coach James Kerr have been in Mount Gambier this week promoting football with girls at local schools.

In conjunction with the South East Women’s Football Association (SEWFA), Tiarn and James have already run clinics with hundreds of girls and will see approximately 600 once the week concludes in an effort to encourage girls to play football in the future.

The visits have also extended to other associated regions of FFSA with Tiarn visiting both Port Pirie and Whyalla in the previous week.

Tiarn who has played football since a junior and as a Westfield W-League Lady Red said that the visits have been valuable.

“The week so far has been very encouraging. The girls in Mount Gambier have been great and I hope to see them continue to play and enjoy the game of football.”

FFSA staff will again return to Mount Gambier next week with clinics being run for both boys and girls on Tuesday 10 March and Friday 13 March ahead of the NSR Australia Regional Round featuring South Australian PlayStation4 National Premier League sides MetroStars and Adelaide City.
