Sierra Leone Claim First African Nations Cup Title

Football Federation SA (FFSA) and the African Communities Council again proudly presented the African Nations Cup over the past 2 weekends at both Burton Park Football Centre and Elite Systems Football Centre.

Sierra Leone were the eventual Champions of the tournament after defeating 2014 winners Burundi in a thrilling display that ended with a 2-1 scoreline infront of a crowd of 1,200.

14 teams competed in the competition over the two weekends, representing African communities such as South Sudan, Somalia, Egypt, Ghana and Uganda.

Local player Elvis Kamsoba was awarded Player of the Tournament after his representation for Burundi.

FFSA congratulates all involved in the successful tournament.
